Luxury bed linen out of the ordinary

Trained as an illustrator, Sophie passed through the Rue Royale workshops in Lyon. "I was lucky enough to set foot in an unusual workshop.

Sophie has a particular affinity with the world of animals, especially birds, whose combination of strength and lightness she seeks to capture and transcribe. Her approach is to capture their essence, just as a florist tries to do with plants.

The strength and fragility, the beauty and power, the subtle evidence of these symbols of nature, fully part of our daily lives, without us being able to grasp them in their entirety. The softness and tension of Sophie's designs are palpable.

A true artistic fibre

From childhood, Sophie was fascinated by patterns. "I used to tell myself stories using the paper decorations in my apartment". Sensitive to images and drawings, she first studied applied arts, then illustration. She then went on to train as a computer graphics artist, before moving on to cartooning. At the same time, she returned to her school, this time as a teacher. Her illustration classes are always tinged with her taste for that madeleine de Proust of motifs, their character and their graphic power. "I work a lot with motifs with my students, teaching them how to integrate them into their drawings".

Being in the presence of a young audience every day "keeps me in an image culture". She therefore chooses to work systematically with the two tools at her disposal: her hands and the computer graphics software.
" Both are always present in my work. Advances in digital printing have increased the possibilities and brought textile design into the digital realm, while maintaining a very hand-based approach. A sensitivity at the very heart of her work, Sophie's strokes are always exceptionally sensitive and delicate.
